Hey, being a big movie buff I was lucky to be invited to watch Hangover Part II as a birthday treat from a friend! Hangover-I had set a lot of expectations and I was praying that part II be as exciting or more fun as compared to its prequel....
The movie started with the same concept... come-on Hollywood - same concept? I know it has something to do with hangover, but the same wedding-of-a-friend-bachelor-party? The actors were superb, all of them - Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Ken Jeong, especially Ken. But, something new should have been there in the film apart from obviously the location!
Few dialogues in between were hilarious just like Zach but thats about it!
Though the film had it all - right from getting beaten by a group of monks who vow to be silent for life to stealing codes from the vest of the monkey, it failed to entertain (keeping the 1st film as the bar).
Hangover-I was fresh, novel & totally unpredictable.
Hangover-II is stale, boring & totally predicatable.
Good things about the film though - Ken Jeong, the monkey and a couple of dialogues....
Advice - Go for it if you have nothing to do over the weekend!
